Healing benefits of Sandalwood Oil Meditation

When we first begin a meditation practice, it's very natural to experience inner chatter. Temporarily, the mind might seem louder - busier than usual.

This experience is the result of spiritual energy coming down into our energy body during our meditation and flushing out negative thoughts forms, emotions, blockages, and other dirty energy. Meditating is like having a spiritual shower. A lot gets cleaned out. If you're experiencing a lot of internal chatter, it's important to remember that it's only temporary and will pass.

Sandalwood oil has been used since ancient times to help calm a busy mind. From an Energy Healing perspective, Sandalwood oil is very cleansing. It contains a lot of green (and some gold) energy. This green energy breaks up negative thoughts and allows us to access a higher state of consciousness.

Where to apply Sandalwood Oil to calm the mind:

Start by putting a small dab of Sandalwood oil on the forehead and in between the eyes, thereby oxygenating the pineal gland. The pineal gland is the seat of higher consciousness. It's very beneficial to apply Sandalwood oil before we sit down to meditate. However, doing this at the start of the day can also help foster greater inner peace and clarity as well.
